Message from the Commander

This is to inform the membership that our Executive Director, Abel Cota has officially terminated his contract with the San Jose GI Forum, effective June 27, 2008. Abel has been the director for a span of 22 years, and on behalf of the membership we extend him gratitude and well wishes on his future endeavors.

Monthly Membership Meeting

Juanita Morales-Euresti, Director of the San Jose Vet Center, will be the guest speaker for the July 1st membership meeting of the San Jose GI Forum. Ms Euresti will speak of the extensive services available to veterans at the San Jose Vet Center which is located at 278 North Second Street in San Jose, California.95112

San Jose Chapter At State Convention

Members from the San Jose Chapter attended the state convention in Norwalk, CA on June 13th-14th, 2008. The convention was very informative on Veteran and Chapter issues. The San Jose Chapter and the Modesto Chapter were selected as Co-Outstanding chapters for the state of California, due to their exceptional work for Veterans and community outreach. The San Jose Chapter was represented by three board members and seven regular members for a total of ten delegates to the convention.
